Frequently Asked Questions

Questions, uncertainty, and hesitation are completely normal when starting counselling.

Here are some of the questions people often ask before starting. If yours isn’t answered here, feel free to reach out.

Do you offer in-person counselling?

At this time, I offer online sessions only

How long is a session?

Each session is 60 minutes long.

How often would we meet?

That is up to you. Most clients start weekly, then shift to bi-weekly or monthly as things evolve.

What if I don’t know what to talk about?

People often start therapy without a clear topic. We’ll figure it out together, define a goal and work towards it at your pace.

Do we have to talk about trauma?

Not unless you choose to. Counselling doesn’t require reliving difficult experiences. We follow your pace. When you’re ready and willing, we can explore deeper concerns in a way that feels safe, supportive, and useful.

Is counselling with you as a student confidential?

Yes. Everything you share in sessions is confidential and treated with care. The only times confidentiality might be broken are very rare and serious legal exceptions (for example, risk of harm to self or others). That said, we can always talk through any questions you have about privacy in advance. Your identity won't be shared with my supervisor.

What languages do you offer counselling in?

I offer support in both English and German.

Cancellation Policy

Your session time is held specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I appreciate at least 24 hours’ notice so I can offer that time to someone else.

If you become unwell or have a genuine emergency, just let me know as soon as possible and we’ll work it out together.

Ready to take the next step?

Let's chat in a relaxed, no-pressure phone call where you can ask questions, get a sense of how we might work together, and see if what I offer feels like a good fit.
